Hollow Construction
In the search for lighter and more stable boards the hollow construction will be a must in 2026. No other technology produces boards that are so light and so much more stable than conventional boards with a foam core. This is achieved by applying a carbon laminate to a very thin layer of PVC hard foam in combination with an internal framework known as a stringer. This technology can only be produced using complex negative molds and is the result of truly advanced manufacturing expertise.
Carbon-Laminate
My boards should always be light, even very light. That's why I only use carbon laminates. The layer structure varies across the board at the different positions. For example more carbon is used around the railboxes for the foil to ensure sufficient stability there. In areas where there is less stress, the layer structure is smaller so that the overall weight of the board remains low.
